Using Positive Discipline

Prerequisites: The user must be generally able to navigate through a GUI application by clicking buttons and selecting menu items.

Using Positive Discipline focuses on interpersonal skills emphasizing communication and improvement of management skills by using behavior modeling. This course addresses an audience of team leaders, supervisors, and first-line managers.

It is recommended for maximum benefit, that learners first experience the two foundation modules, Fundamental Skills of Managing and Fundamental Skills of Communicating prior to taking this course.

Using Positive Discipline may seem like a contradiction in terms, but it doesn't have to be. Positive discipline tries to preserve team members' self-respect and egos and treat them as adults.

This course shows you how to change unacceptable team member's behavior, while seeking to preserve and even encourage their motivation to be competent, effective team members.
