This course is intended for students with some previous exposure to at least one other operating system. This course will explore and explain the structure and operation of the Windows NT operating system. It covers material that you could not easily learn by simply "pointing and clicking" in the NT environment. This material includes the various architectural components of the NT system, as well as how they interact with each other.
In this course, the NT system model, its relationship to networks and domains, user administration and system maintenance are discussed. The text coverage is backed up through the extensive use of pictures, animations, and exercises. This course also covers the system management utilities you will need to run in setting up and maintaining an NT system. The average amount of time to complete the on-line materials is 10 to 12 hours. In addition, the materials may be reviewed at any time to provide reinforcement and greater retention.
